1. Product Overview

 
A valve ball is the core component of a ball valve, which controls fluid on-off and regulation via 90° rotation. Our high-quality valve balls are manufactured with premium raw materials, CNC precision machining, mirror polishing and reinforced surface treatment. Featured with high precision, excellent sealing, superior wear and corrosion resistance and long service life, they fit soft-seated and hard-seated ball valves, conforming to ANSI, API, DIN and GB international standards.

3. Material Selection

 

3.1 Metallic Materials

 
  • F304 (304 Stainless Steel): Good general corrosion resistance; Working temperature: -20℃ ~ 450℃; Application: Water supply, food & pharmaceutical industry
  • F316L (316L Stainless Steel): Low carbon grade, anti-intergranular corrosion; Ideal for chemical industry, seawater and sterile fluid systems
  • F51 / F53 (Duplex Stainless Steel): High mechanical strength and chloride resistance; Used for seawater desalination and salt chemical industry
  • 17-4PH: Precipitation hardening steel with high strength and wear resistance; Suitable for high-pressure and frequent cycling working conditions
  • Monel 400: Resistant to hydrofluoric acid and strong alkali; Applied in special chemical and hydrogenation units
  • Inconel 625: Excellent high temperature resistance up to 650℃ and strong corrosion resistance; For high-temperature high-pressure and coal chemical working conditions
 

3.2 Zirconia Ceramic

 
  • Hardness: Mohs 9 grade, Vickers Hardness >1200kg/mm², outstanding wear resistance
  • Working Temperature: -40℃ ~ 750℃, stable thermal performance
  • Chemical Property: Inert material, resistant to strong acid, alkali, salt and organic solvents
  • Service Life: 3~5 times longer than conventional metal valve balls; Fit for media with solid particles and abrasives
 

4. Manufacturing Process

 
  1. Raw Material Inspection: Forged bars & solid bars with spectral analysis and non-destructive testing
  2. Forging & Heat Treatment: Refine grain structure, eliminate internal stress, improve strength and toughness
  3. 5-axis CNC Machining: Dimensional tolerance within ±0.005mm
  4. Spherical Grinding & Mirror Polishing: Professional grinding equipment for ultra-smooth surface
  5. Surface Enhancement: ENP, TCC, STL, HCR, DLC coating with controllable thickness
  6. Final Inspection: Roundness test, roughness test, CMM inspection, sealing test and salt spray test
