Chromium Carbide Sprayed Valve Balls

Chrome Carbide Sprayed Valve Ball
Chrome carbide sprayed valve ball is a high-performance metal hard seal ball. It adopts HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) thermal spraying technology to coat a layer of chrome carbide (Cr₃C₂) alloy on the stainless steel substrate. It is specially designed for high temperature, severe erosion, abrasive and particle-containing working conditions.
Substrate & Coating Material
Substrate: 304, 316L, 443, F6a, duplex steel.
Coating: Chrome carbide, Chrome carbide + NiCr alloy.
Process: HVOF spraying, dense coating, high bonding strength, no porosity and no peeling.
Detail

Manufacturing Process

Forging & CNC machining → Surface roughening → HVOF chrome carbide spraying → Precision grinding → Mirror lapping. Roundness tolerance up to 0.01mm for bubble-tight sealing.

Key Advantages

  1. Extraordinary wear and erosion resistance, far better than nitriding and hard chrome plating.
  2. Excellent high temperature oxidation resistance up to over 600℃.
  3. Good resistance to acid, alkali, salt spray and sulfide corrosion.
  4. Low friction coefficient, smooth operation, no scratching to valve seat.
  5. Service life greatly extended for harsh abrasive conditions.

Applications

Power plant desulfurization, mining slurry, coal chemical, high temperature steam, metallurgy, V-port control valve, trunnion mounted hard seal ball valve and severe abrasive industrial pipelines.
