Nanostructured powder treatment and high temperature sintering form fine and homogeneous microstructures that provide superior mechanical strength and low friction, chemically inert surfaces that outperform alumina in demanding mechanical applications involving aggressive media, abrasive particles and high temperatures.
1. Introduction
Zirconium valve balls are precision machined and lapped ball components made from commercially pure zirconium metal.
They offer ultra-high corrosion resistance far superior to stainless steel, duplex steel and even titanium, perfect for the most severe chemical service conditions.
2. Common Zirconium Grades
Zirconium 702 (R60702)
Commercial pure zirconium, standard grade for chemical processing, excellent general corrosion resistance.
Zirconium 705 (R60705)
Zirconium alloy with higher mechanical strength, suitable for high pressure and high temperature working conditions.
