Tungsten Carbide-coated Valve Balls

Tungsten Carbide Sprayed Valve Ball
Tungsten carbide sprayed valve ball is a high-performance hard-seal valve ball. It uses HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) spraying technology to coat tungsten carbide (WC) hard alloy layer on the substrate surface. It features ultra-high hardness and excellent abrasion resistance, ideal for severe abrasive and particle-containing working conditions.
Substrate & Coating Material
Substrate: 304, 316L, 443, F6a, 410, duplex steel.
Coating: Tungsten Carbide WC, WC-Co, WC-NiCr alloy.
Process: HVOF spraying, dense coating, low porosity, strong bonding strength, no peeling.
Detail

Manufacturing Process

Forging blank → CNC precision machining → Surface sandblasting roughening → HVOF tungsten carbide spraying → Precision grinding → Mirror sealing surface lapping.

Roundness tolerance can reach 0.01mm for high tight sealing performance.

Key Advantages

  1. Ultra-high wear resistance, much better than nitriding, hard chrome and chrome carbide coating.
  2. Low friction coefficient, smooth operation without scratching the valve seat.
  3. Good combination of abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance against acid, alkali and salt spray.
  4. Extremely long service life under slurry, dust and particle medium.
  5. Good high temperature stability, no softening or peeling at medium and high temperature.

Applications

Mining and metallurgy, power plant desulfurization & ash handling, coal chemical industry, coal washing plant, slurry transportation, sand-containing sewage, V-port control ball valve, eccentric half ball valve and high pressure hard seal trunnion ball valve.
