Titanium Oxide Ceramic Sprayed Valve Balls

Titanium Oxide Coated Valve Balls is engineered for highly corrosive and erosive environments. Formed via high-velocity plasma spraying, the dense Rutile-phase TiO₂ coating achieves a hardness exceeding HRA 85 and provides outstanding corrosion resistance. It maintains stable performance in concentrated acids, alkalis, and electrochemical media, making it an ideal alternative to special stainless steels in demanding applications such as chlor-alkali processing and hydrometallurgy where both corrosion and solid particle wear are prevalent.
Detail

1. Brief Introduction

Titanium Oxide Ceramic Sprayed Valve Balls are ordinary stainless steel or carbon steel valve balls coated with a titanium oxide ceramic layer by thermal spraying.

The ceramic coating greatly improves surface hardness, wear resistance, erosion resistance and corrosion resistance, achieving long service life under abrasive and corrosive media.

2. Main Features

  • High surface hardness, excellent anti-wear and anti-erosion performance.
  • Superior resistance to weak acid, alkali, chloride and atmospheric corrosion.
  • Smooth dense coating, low friction, stable sealing performance.
  • Good bonding strength, not easy to peel off or crack.
  • Cost-effective solution compared with solid high-alloy or titanium valve balls.

3. Base Material

  • 304 / 316L Stainless Steel
  • 2205 Duplex Steel
  • Carbon Steel / WCB

4. Coating & Surface

  • Coating material: Titanium Oxide Ceramic
  • Surface finish: Precision grinding lapping
  • Roughness: Ra ≤ 0.2~0.8μm
  • Suitable for soft seat and metal hard seat ball valves

5. Application

Waste water treatment, chemical slurry, mining slurry, papermaking, petrochemical, dust-laden and particle-containing medium pipelines.

6. Advantage

Perfect for working conditions with medium corrosion slight abrasion, lower cost than full alloy balls, greatly extending valve service life.
